Weekend Wonderings

When you’re up at insane times in the night with a one-month-old, you have a lot of time to read.  My brain can’t handle a whole book yet (concentration is hijacked by thoughts such as “is she still breathing?“, “where is the nearest carbohydrate?” and “will I ever be able to finish a cup of tea again?“).   So I’ve been looking  at a lot of pictures.

Last night, it was dogs in yoga poses.

I’m sorry.  If I tell you I am operating on a third of my usual brain capacity, will you forgive me?

This is Lilly in the lotus position.

Addie holds the notoriously tricky half moon pose.

And here’s your reward for staying with me.  Warrier One, by Gabriella.

Via The Daily Muse.  At some stage, I’ll be back with the usual blend of feminism, cake, rage and perspective.  Just let me get my brain back.  Happy weekend, readers.

A friend who looked after my cat over Xmas is a yoga teacher. Apparently she had great fun copying the cat’s random stretches while drunk. Feel free to carry on with the amusing animal pictures!

Apparently there’s a book called ‘Dancing With Your Cat’ – might be suitable entertainment? Wishing you more sleep soon x

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.

More here.
