Merry Christmas…

Mince pies eaten – 86 (low-balling)

No of time ‘The Holiday and Love Actually watched – 16 (each)

Presents wrapped – too many

Yule Log trial runs – 3 (nailed it. We *think*)

Terry’s Chocolate Oranges waiting to be eaten – 6 (they’re not Terry’s, they’re MINE)

Trips into town with Stella just to look at the Christmas lights – 12. Times 2.

Yep. I’m feeling very, very festive, readers. I make no apologies. I am a Christmas Loon this year. I like it, it feels good. Flight of the Navigator and bottle of Bucks Fizz – I’m coming for you.

This Ode to Christmas is us signing off for the rest of the year, you brilliant, crazy, wonderful bunch of folk. THANK YOU for yet another ridiculously wonderful year of arse-kicking community spirit and friendships. You’re ace.

We’ll be back in the New Year, with more drivel, more AOP’s, more excellent submissions from you – you remember how to submit posts, don’t you? Because we definitely need you to do that, or there’s a very real chance you’ll be reading about cats and toddlers for the foreseeable future. And whilst both of those things are awesome, there’s too much of a good thing. So, GO! Submit! (Seriously, you do remember, don’t you? submissions@anyotherwoman.com)

And because this time of year is definitely not just about Jaffa Cakes by the metre and penguin pyjamas, we are once again donating to The Salvation Army, helping those who really need it through another cold and lonely holiday season.

Merry Christmas to you, the best readership on the Interwebs. See you on the other side…

Merry Christmas to all of the lovely AOW-ettes. Those that I have had the pleasure to meet, those that I have still to meet, and those of you whose posts and comments brighten my day, expand my mind and inspire me (so that’s all of you then). You have all been more of a support to me this year than you will ever know. Happy holidays to you and all of your loved ones xx

Merrrrrrrry Christmas Any Other Woman and all who sail in her!
No, seriously, this year has had so many wonderful moments that have been down to people I’ve met through AOW. Offers of help with moving house, chocolate sent through the post, the most wonderful support from fellow new mums and non-mums too. Thank you SO much Clare, Aisling and Anna for creating something so great.
    Here’s to 2014 xxx

Late to the party as ever but AOW has been one of the highlights of my 2013. From running the Race for Life with a fabulous, funny and smart group of women, to laughing hysterically over gelato, to doing weird spiky fruit poses on trains (she knows who she is!), to a fabulous dinner in Anna’s stunning home, the list continues. I am so happy and proud to be a part of this community and wish all of you, as well as of course Clare, Anna and Aisling, a very merry and joyous Christmas and the very best for 2014 xx

Merry Christmas AOW! I can tell you what 2014 will hold for me – checking in with AOW on an almost daily basis. As per.

And now I really want a jaffa cake. Possibly garnished with a chunk of Christmas log. It’s 10am….

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.
