8 Months

This month I came back to England. Mum warned me it would be cold, but sometimes here it goes as low as TWENTY FIVE DEGREES, so I didn’t take much notice.  Boy, was I wrong. I don’t know how you guys manage, I really don’t. On the plus side though, I got to have a whole new wardrobe, with TIGHTS!

We went on lots of walks in England which was pretty fun, but I always had to wear So Many Clothes.

In fact, we seemed to go for a lot of walks when we were in England. Going for walks is quite boring.

And also quite tiring.

On the plus side,I did get to see some sheep.

It was also the first time I ate lamb though, which was quite confusing.

I’m eating all sorts now. Spaghetti bolognaise, chicken casserole, ratatouille…. Spaghetti bolognaise is my favourite because I can smear it everywhere and it stains really nicely. Mum says she takes ages to make it, but quite honestly, I can’t tell the difference between that and the stuff out of the packet, so I mostly mush it into the table, or even better, my clothes.

The good thing about this England place we went to is that they have this stuff called ‘carpet’ which is way more comfortable to sit on than the hard stuff we have at home. It encouraged me to give this crawling malarkey a go, and oh emmm geeeeee! It’s great! Seriously. There is no stopping me now – mum can put me down somewhere and turn around for a second, and BAM, I’m gone.

Even better than that though, is STANDING UP!

As I dictate this post to mum, I’m standing up holding on to the sofa. It’s great, because I get better access to the irritatingly fast moving grey fluffy thing they call ‘The Cat’, but the downside is, I’ve not learnt how to sit down yet. It means I either let go and topple back on to the floor, mostly landing on my head, which REALLY hurts, or I just shout and shout until mum comes and helps me bend my knees so I can sit down. I mostly go for the first option, but hopefully one day I’ll learn.

I can also wave bye bye, and clap, but I make sure I never do it when mum asks me to, and especially not when there’s a camera around. I’m not a performing monkey you know.

Anyway, when we were in England I met Granny.

Except it was quite confusing, because then I met another granny.

And then two more grannies. Who knew a girl could have so many Grannies?

I have to say, I’m not sure why everyone (especially all of these grannies) live over in England. It’s really cold, and you can’t go swimming every day. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Plus, you have this weird green spiky stuff on the floor, which really doesn’t taste very nice.

Believe me. I tried it several times. You know, just to check.

Right, I think that’s it from me this month. Can you believe there’s only one more post and then it will be my one year birthday post?! Woohooooooo!

So, see you guys when I’m ten months….byeeeeee!

And I think there’s my bridge, over there in the distance. Somewhere behind this post of a rediculously gorgeous girl. These write-ups make me snort into my coffee everytime. :)

Is it wrong or right to covert a 8 month olds wardrobe?!

I only ever have one thing I think of whenever I see Emmi and her posts: Le super cute sigh.

No, I totally need those heart tights in my life. Also majorly coveting Clare’s scarf/cardi combo on the walk.

Who DOESN’T need navy tights with red hearts on in their life? Show me one person. My personal favourites are not showcased well here (you can just see them in the red pushchair picture) but they are rainbow stripes.

        RAINBOW stripes.

Thanks for the lovely comments guys. After having to actually ARGUE with a man in the lift today regarding her being a GIRL and NOT a boy (despite her being in a red ruffly top, white leggings with bows on the side and a bloody great hairband with a flower on), “but it looks like a boy , lah” ?! it’s nice to know that SOME people think she’s cute.

Ah, perhaps the drawn on comedy moustache was the cause of his confusion.

Clare your photographs of your daughter get better every post. I am glowing with PRIDE even though that is a sin.

    Emmi, you rock the tights.

Thanks LucyLoo….although the pictures are about to get A LOT worse now she’s a moving target. Expect all pictures from now on to have a certain amount of ‘stylised blur’.

I absolutely LOVE the heart and rainbow-patterned tights. She is such a fashionista. Her smiles in these photos are gorgeous. Looking forward to reading about more of her adventures.

Emmi is quite possibly the most gorgeous (and hilarious!) baby in history. I think we need to get team AOW tights, we could totally rock the navy with hearts look…
