Weekend Wonderings

There’s two things I have to share with you today, that’s Saturday AND Sunday catered for! You’re welcome…

First up is this exciting giveaway from the stunningly talented wedding photographer Tamara Kuzminski. If you’re getting wed between 1st April and 31st December this year, inside the M25, you could win Tamara’s services FOR FREE by entering her competition. That’s a bit good, no?

My ‘Sunday’ wondering is more personal, and I know that it’s a little like my Christmas post…but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this… Since I started my new job I’ve been very lucky-lucky enough to visit some of the Olympic sites, attend an amazing party and most of all, to learn about the most heart-warming and incredible of charities. It’s the ‘Ronald McDonald House Charity’ and all I ask of you today is that you wander over to their website and learn a little about what they do. Thanks to the nature of my new job, I may be lucky enough to one day have the chance to work for RMHC. If that day comes, it’s a chance I’ll be grabbing with both hands.

My 9 year old goddaughter has a school project on the go at the moment, she phoned to ask Phil and I, ‘How do you remember your childhood?’

Fondly, for the most part. For which we are eternally thankful and now all the more aware of just how lucky we are.

Wow, what an amazing charity to have the chance to work with, Aisling. Their website brought tears to my eyes. Quite a few actually. Okay, I sobbed for 10 minutes.

My cousin spent 11 months of his life in hospital, he was lucky enough to be at GOSH, where his parents were able to make it so he was never without one of them, the whole time. Never alone, never without someone by his side loving him 100%. Never frightened. He died in hospital, at 12 months old, so those hours, days and months by his side are now an invaluable memory. My aunt and uncle were able to have that time, what an incredible concept RMHC is, to give parents those memories, and that chance to be there, when their child is ill and far from home.

I'm sorry for the sad comment. Do as Aisling suggests and visit the website, it's sad but heartwarming. So important.

    K x
