Weekend Wonderings

I’m not even sure how I came across these drawings from Everyday People but since I found them I’ve been checking back on the website regularly and gradually saving ones to my computer that feel relevant to me, or just made me chuckle. So today I thought I’d share with you some of my favourites.

They’re not particularly earth shattering, or world changing, but some of them are clever, they’re generally amusing, and all of them have (to me) an element of truth to them.

They cover a variety of subjects but the tag line is ‘cartoons about women, and the people who love and annoy them‘. Which sounds rather like the cartoon version of AOW, no?

There are ones about relationships….

Ones about shopping…

Ones about body image…

Ones about sex…

And the most relevant ones for me at this moment in time….ones about pregnancy….

What do you think…any of those speak to you? I thoroughly recommend spending some time wandering through the archives because I’m sure at least one on there will sum up how you feel at any one time.

And next week….we have a special week coming up on the blog.  It’s Being A Woman Week, and we have a whole host of incredible guest posts dealing with the many different facets of being a woman.  It’ll be funny, wise, thought-provoking, and we are eternally grateful to our readers for submitting such brilliant guest posts.  We cannot wait!

These are great. And so true! The hairdressers one is my fave…. 'my entire sense of self depends on how good my hair looks tonight '… hahaha!

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.

More here.
