Any Other Photo {Rach and Rich}

Today’s AnyOtherPhoto is very special. To me, yes, but I think it will be to you too. It’s RachBakes, you see. And you know we love her. If you met her at AnyOtherParty, chances are you love her too.

Her AOP is completely delightful and a twist on the theme-which we always love! I received the text from Rach first and even without seeing the accompanying photo, I had a lump in my thriat. So lovely.

(Ooh…also, when you leave your comment, be sure to wish Rach a Happy Birthday too!)

Anyone that knows me will know just how much my family means to me. They are everything to me. I’m incredibly lucky to have them, and even luckier to have a husband who understands how important they are to me and how I need to be with them and talk to them a LOT.
My parents were the absolute BEST wedding planners you could ever have. From dealing with last minute panics about licencing with the local council, to swearing their street to secrecy about a surprise fireworks display, to doing numerous airport runs in the week before and after – they were seriously brilliant. The fact that they managed to devote so much time and energy to organising everything whilst doing their often, very demanding and time-consuming,day jobs at the same time, leaves me a bit gobsmacked, although not surprised. They do so much for me and Rich and for my brothers.

I love this photo so much. I love how happy they look. I love that after all their hard work they managed to grab a few minutes together to have a dance before they rushed off to summon everyone outside for the surprise fireworks.
They are always there for us. Welcoming us back home and letting us (and our cats!) live with them for weeks while we sold our house and waited to get into our dream house. And then letting us do it again next month while we have extensive renovation work done. Supporting us, encouraging us, and cheering us on in everything that we do – small or large.
When I look at this photo, what I feel the most is this massive rush of pride. I’m so proud to be their daughter.

    Lovely AOP today. I'm pretty sure that most AOP's aren't just of the bride & groom but include other important people in our lives. That's what makes AOP such a genius series. Happy Weekending & Birthdaying.

    Ah RachBakes this is so sweet, what a lovely nod to your parents. They sound like amazing people! Also, I remember your Mum's outfit from your RMW report and thinking how fab it was then.

    Happy Birthday too, hope you're having an amazing day!

    Happy Birthday!

    Also I think this is my favourite AOP. I can completely relate to so much of what you said and I cannot wait to have a picture of my mum & dad all dressed up and smiling.

    I remember when I knew Mr C was the one I was going to spend my life with, its when I realised he didnt just love me, he loved my family too… that sealed the deal.
