Us, Elsewhere

The first place we are where we normally aren’t (are you following?!) is actually really very close to where we are right now. Enough of the nonsense, I hear you cry! Well, pop on over to our shiny new ‘About’ and ‘The Team’ pages and you’ll see the first exciting development  we have for you today. They’re rather swanky, I must say. Onwards!

Keep an eye out for our very own Anna over on the stupendous Rock My Wedding this week-she’ll pop up at some point before the end of the ‘Married Week’ with her thoughts on what it really means to be married. As ever, her thoughts are eloquent and poignant and a joy to read, don’t miss it!

And finally,

Team AOW went on an Outward-Bound-type team adventure this week. (Remember Outward Bound? Or PGL? That week when you’re 11 and you go to the back-of-beyond to make a raft and climb a tree and play table tennis when it rains? No? Just me, then.) We didn’t actually GO anywhere; living in Russia, London and the Berkshire countryside isn’t particularly conducive to frequent day trips, but still. It was our first real Team project and we LOVED it.

You see, Kirsty from the super cute and grammatically perfect A Safe Mooring has skipped off into the San Franciscan sunshine for 3 weeks and we are only utterly delighted and excited for her. Not ten shades of jealous at all. Nuh uh. In her absence, she has a motley crew of fellow bloggers, friends both ‘real’ and ‘online’ and family contributing to her ‘Summer Love In’.

And we are in the crew! Yeeeeah baby, we made it! We three, your faithful wedding/marriage/crazytown servants, have each written a Summer themed piece for Kirsty and they are going up over on A Safe Mooring TODAY! NOW! They’re going up throughout the day, so remember to keep popping back to make sure you read each of our offerings.

A word of warning. They’re fairly heavy going. Turns out, our decided ‘mini-theme’ of ‘The Summer that made me, me’ made for some pretty intense outpourings from us and we did worry that Kirsty would rather come home from San Fran early than blog our Shakespearean tragedies. She assures us that she loves them and that anyway, there’s a whole bunch of awesome light-hearted stuff at intervals over the next three weeks so be sure to read that to lighten your spirits!

Thank you to Kirsty for including us in her Love In and we hope you’re having an utterly awesomeballs time, rocking your Yellow Skirt and indulging in some serious Quality Time with that lovely husband of yours.

Liking your new 'about' and 'team' pages… I was hoping our Anna would be posting on RMW, and looking forward to read many more posts on AOW.

About

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.
