This blog was always about creating a community of sensible, sane, intelligent women who, whilst appreciating the pretty on other blogs, also know that there is something more to weddings and marriages, and even life, and want to hang around and discuss that with other like-minded ladies.

It was never about my voice being the dominating one, but about letting everyone have their say. Which is why we had guest posts from YOU right from the beginning, and why pretty soon after AOW began, Aisling came on board as ‘partner in crime’ and added a whole new dimension to the blog with her beautiful DIY wedding, and artful writing, and sensible advice.

And now, there is a new person joining the team. In fact ‘person’ doesn’t really cover it. This wise and wonderful woman has really been a part of AOW right from the very beginning – providing some of our most popular guest posts and incredibly insightful comments, and sending us amusing emails to keep us going when we wondered whether anybody was really reading. So without further ado, let me introduce her…..
Who wouldn’t want this person to be involved with their blog?

Yep, you’ve guessed it, it’s the famous, and infamous, and all round marvellous Anna K.

Both Aisling and I have always really wanted Anna to be more involved with AOW, but have been worried about having too many people on the blog, but with recent events, and knowing that both of us have some fairly busy times coming up, we thought now would be the right time to see if she was interested, and when we asked, we took the squeal that we got to mean that she was quite interested.

Now, Anna has some hugely important job that goes way above our heads (Lucy is convinced that Anna is actually a spy, a fact that Anna has indeed never confirmed or denied), and at the moment is busy saving the world from evil superpowers or something (pants worn over her trousers and everything), so we won’t be seeing her first post for a couple of  weeks, but I’m pretty sure that when it comes, it’s going to be a total beauty, and full of intelligent, articulate thoughts, interspersed with laugh-out-loud comments, because that’s what Anna does best. Keep an eye out for it.

There are a few other changes coming up in the next few weeks, but I think that’s enough news for one week, no?!

Left to Right: Swirl, Tap and Buff.

The posts from Anna, that I've read, have all been fabulous and very witty. Every wedding blog needs a super secret spy girl.

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.

More here.
