Any Other Photo {Anna and Mr K}

It’s Friday…and that means it’s Any Other Photo! We LOVE that you gorgeous lot are getting excited for what’s coming on a Friday morning and you are not going to be disappointed today, I promise.
You see, today we have Anna K’s perfect picture. I’m aware I keep telling you how wise and wonderful and awe-inspiring she is, but honestly, she’s fabulous.

And this picture, this once-in-a-lifetime snapshot, is pretty darn fabulous too. It’s just so perfect and personal-it’s almost like you can see into that moment and hear Anna and Mr K laughing together. Sounds good, yes?

This picture was taken in Russell Square Gardens, just after our ceremony.
We were giddy, of course we were. You would be, right?
We walked into the park. I clocked a water fountain.
Right, that was it. Sod the dress. The dress was made to be worn, right?
I kicked off my four-inch heels and ran into that fountain. And this is the picture I love.
That’s Mr K, standing in the dry, at the edge of the fountain, looking down at my skirt, with that expression which is halfway between laughing and “oh Anna, you are ruining that dress” and “my wife is batshit crazy”.
That’s me, hair perfect, feet wet, hitching up my sodden skirt. Grinning like the village idiot.
Neither of us have a clue there’s a camera on us.
And that’s the way I like it.

I love this photo – and I love the story behind it. And am rather envious that you got to stand in a fountain in your wedding dress. And "grinning like a village idiot" is definitely the best way to smile on your wedding day :-)

My face hurt, there was so much grinnage!

And the fountain was seriously ace. I know wedding dresses are precious…but sometimes you've got to get them a bit dirty to get the memories properly made!

He might have thought you batshit crazy, but I bet he was thinking 'pretty damn wonderful' at the same time xxx

Lovely photo – can just picture it as I've walked through Russell Square gardens many a time…

That's just brilliant! Made me smile so much – loving the words "batshit crazy" and will be using those on my other half later in the week.

I adore this. Everybody has the formal (and sometimes stale) portraits, but this picture really captures the simple unadulterated joy of the occasion.

This is so lovely. Can I just say – why doesn't Anna K have a blog? This needs to be rectified immediately, the lady can write!
