A Summary…and an epiphany.

An exquisite lace dress, hundreds of tea lights, a fancy dress box and a collection of vintage wedding photographs. A man who was smiling so much he was verging on goofy, writing ‘love’ with sparklers in the crisp cool night, peach roses the size of your fist and origami hearts. Cupcakes you’d sell your shoes for, bridesmaids dresses you’d rip off the backs of the girls wearing them if you thought they wouldn’t notice, parents so proud they were glowing and a venue straight from the childhood of Elizabeth I.
And Fliss-so excited, beautiful, overjoyed and chilled out; so stunningly happy that for a moment during the first dance, I was sad. I missed our day, I wanted to do it all again and feel like that again. The moment passed, we joined them on the dancefloor, and wrapped up tightly in the arms of my husband I realised that I DO feel excited, overjoyed and chilled out every day (less so beautiful!) and it’s down to me to seize those moments, commit them to memory and not let them slip past. Being married is the best and it was incredible to watch Fliss and The Man ‘cross to the other side’.
Congratulations you lovely Husband and Wife!

Nothing to do with weddings, granted. But a moment captured from last winter, a moment I cannot wait to be relived this winter-I’m all about the getting stranded in a teeny village for a week!

It sounds fabulous, can't wait to hear (and see!) more x

PS. I agree Aisling, we do need to seize the day and be thankful for the great, powerful, amazing stuff on the other side of the wedding. Spot on. Life is sweet!

I love this post makes me crave the marriage instead of the wedding for a change. I also can't wait to hear and see more of the wedding.
