Some wedding panic and some blog love.

Just a quick post today as I’m right in the middle of an ohmygodtheweddingisonlythreemonthsaway panic and am currently desperately writing 132 page lists of things THAT I REALLY NEED TO DO, whilst attempting to persuade myself that I REALLY DON’T NEED TO DO THESE THINGS. Unfortunately I think I really DO NEED TO DO some of the little things like, you know, choosing what people will eat at our nuptials, and well, finding something to wear that doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing something out of my old dressing up box.

In an attempt to distract you from my inane rambling, and therefore lack of post content, I’ve decided to post this link to a wonderful post from a reader of this blog who has her own fabulous blog – Becca Loves.

She so brilliantly sums up exactly why I started this blog, and how I feel about the blogging world in general. When I read this post I felt like somebody had reached inside my head and taken what I wanted to say, written it all down, finely edited it and made it sound eloquent and meaningful.

If you’ve ever been intimidated by the ever so cool people in the world of blogging, or worried that your wedding just wasn’t going to be pretty enough/unique enough/blog worthy, go and read it - if you even just a little bit like my blog, I think you’ll like this.

When I’ve crawled out from underneath the mountain of wedding paraphernalia and stopped rocking backwards and forwards and mumbling to myself about napkin colours and hymn choices, I’ll be back with a real post. Here’s to hoping that will be soon.

I do love Beccas blog – her last post about the internet/blogging/weddings/snobbery rang true with me x

Completely – I was sucked into wanting my wedding to be 'blog worthy', and it's only recently that I've realised that it really doesn't matter if some cooler than cool person thinks my wedding is 'something' enough for their blog. The fact that its our wedding will be enough for me.

Oh yes! So true. I am pretty sure my wedding will not be blog worthy but I just don't care.

Marriage is surely a case of the panic such that we did not come to find which dress we should wear for the occasion of the marriage and we start doing panic for that.

Hello! We're Clare, Aisling and Anna and welcome to a corner of the world where smart, flawed, real women talk about the bigger picture; about their experiences, stories and opinions on all aspects of being a woman today, from marriage to feminism to pretty, too.

More here.
